Did you hear Alex and Brett Harris on Focus on the Family today? I was only able to hear the last bit as we were driving in the car (which is a wonderful thing...to be able to listen to the radio...in English). I was truly inspired and challenged by these two guys who are rising above the status quo. It's a three part series, and I can't wait to download all of them!! Go here to find the messages.
What have you been listening to lately?!

oh I just love Sono Harris...must hear her boys message! thanks for the link!
k.
I have their book...but haven't read through it all yet...but those boys definitely have a heart for God! It's AWESOME!!! :)
Every parent of Christian teenagers should encourage their sons and daughters to read 'Do Hard things'!
It had a big impact on my son and truly prepared his heart for his first overseas missions trip to Thailand. I am very grateful to the Harris boys for writing this book.
Hi Joy,
I always listen to the radio in my car and in my kitchen, and they are tuned into the Bible Broadcasting Network, (BBN).
I hear a lot of various preachers sharing the truth on a daily basis. And also good Christian music. I love it.
I HEARD THEM TOO. IT WAS THE SECOND TIME AND I WAS THRILLED TO HEAR THEIR MESSAGE. I THOUGHT OF HOW THEIR DAD GOT THIS GOING BY REQUIRING THEM TO READ A LARGE GATHERING OF BOOKS THE SUMMER THEY WERE 16, BECAUSE THEY WERE BORED. SO INTERESTING AND INSPIRING.

I recently read their book and LOVED it! I already plan to require my two daughters to read it when they are approaching their teenage years. Thanks for the link!
Well lately I have been listening to a few different programs on line. Mainly Revive Our Hearts and a few sermons by Voddie Baucham.
Hope you are doing well :)
Wow! I haven't read your blog in a while, so I had to catch up. I lost your URL somehow, but now I'm back to following you. :D
Can't wait to read more!
Lately I've been listening to John Piper's "Biblical Manhood and Womanhood" series.
Thanks for the link; I've been listening to some Mark Driscoll (Mars Hill) sermons.
I also caught the first set of interviews with them a handful of months ago. I was only able to read a small amount of the book before I lent it to a teen at church, but I love the concept!
My husband and I have been listening to sermons by Alistair Begg (can be found at truthforlife.org) :)
Sadly I missed it. But I was priveliged to hear them speak in person at the conference in Louisville. :) They are spreading a wonderful message.
I follow their blog and I have been listening to all of their broadcasts and taking notes. I really am encouraged by their passion and their message. It is good preparation for a college student (just two more weeks at home!!) I encourage you everyone to tune in and listen, http://listen.family.org/daily/A000002118.cfm (parts two and three are listed under Recent Broadcasts the second column down on the right hand side.)
i have this book, it's phenomonal!
Hi Joy,
I found your site from a friend's and Ijust from the little bit I have seen, I love reading your posts and really appreciate your heart for the Lord and ministry. My husband and I are on a track to be deployed as well, though not for several years. Thanks for your encouragement~ I will be sure to keep updated and pray for your family. :) By the way, we live in PA and I saw your recent updates that you were here in our state! How wonderful! :)
My 15 year old son got to go to a "Do Hard Things" conference made possible by some generous friends

It was a real blessing and challenge to him...especially being on HA this year in a public high school (agghhh!) We have also had him read, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye", by their older brother Joshua Harris.
We sure LOVE Christian radio this year in the States...what a treat.
I listen to those in Spanish... I've been listening to their marriage section, they really are a blessing
Stopped by to say hi. I hope your weekend was great!

I listen to Midday Connection when I'm in the car and Running to Win.
love christian radio! isn't it amazing all of the ways that the gospel is being spread using technology?! God is bigger than we can imagine. I've missed reading your posts! Hope you are having a great and safe time traveling during your road trip. God Bless!

I am out doing some blog hopping. I am participating in a Bible study I think you might be interested in.
I would like to invite you to join us for an online Bible study for MOMMAS on the book of Ephesians. We are using my (Jean Stockdale) workbook called “High Stepping in Heavenly Places.” The 10-week study will begin Sept.24. A workbook is available with homework for 5 days a weeks. You will also be able to watch a 45-minute weekly video or download a podcast of the message, and then share in an online discussion with other moms. Interested?
Get more details at http://highsteppinginheavenlyplaces.wordpress.com or at blog at http://jeanstockdale.typepad.com. We would love to have you join us! Blessings.
