Skirts and Dresses Challenge Day 2

Well, here we are...day 2. You can't see, but Hannah is wearing cute white leggings under her dress. We both love wearing skirts and dresses, so this isn't really difficult for us. :) Here is a picture of the back of Hannah's hair. I pulled it back in a ponytail then braided a ribbon throughout it. Then I rolled it into a bun and tied the ribbon around it. Her hair is so beautiful, I'm going to be sad when she cuts it for Locks of Love!

Do you have any pictures to share? Thanks again to Kristin for this fun challenge!

Just found your blog and had to subscribe right away - I'm a former MK from PNG and a homeschooling mom of 3. Look forward to reading more!

That's such a cute braid idea- I need to go visit the links for long hair ideas for my Belle!
By the way, I loved the skirt you wore yesterday-the long brown skirt...did you mention where you found it?

You both look lovely! Your daughter's hair is beautiful! What a creative style. I wish my hair was long enough to do that! :)

I LOVE how you did Hannah's hair, so pretty!!! And sounds pretty easy to do, which is a plus. =)

You both are beautiful! I got my daughter's hair cut for Locks of Love too! About 1 1/2 years ago, her hair was down to her tushy, getting too difficult to maintain (she loves to wear her hair down), so we decided to donate it to Locks of Love. Her hair is already down to waist again (it grows so fast!) so we plan on getting it cut later in the summer. Is this your first time cutting it? It was hard for me too the first time, because it was so pretty- but she got such a cute haircut, and now we're both looking forward to her getting it cut again when it's long enough. I'm gonna go to my blog now and post the before and after pics of her last haircut to share with you, then maybe you won't be so nervous. Take a look and tell me what you think.

You've looked great over the past few days! I have only one skirt in my wardrobe and it's a little tight. I have a formal black dress but nothing appropriate for daily wear. I'm going to have to check out garage sales and thrift stores this summer and see if I can round up some skirts. Sounds like a great challenge for summer (not winter) so I'd better get looking. Thanks for the encouragement to be more feminine!

Both of you look beautiful! I have a five year old daughter with just the same hair as your daughter - thick, blond, and so pretty! I'm going to have to try that on her hair. She'd love it. I wish I could participate in the challenge, but I'm 40 weeks pregnant today, and I only have 1 pair of pants that fit as of now (and 3 shirts) - I'll have to wait until next time. Thanks for the pictures!

You both look great and your daughter's hair is lovely (I'm sure yours is too but as you said, it blends into the bookcase). Just a word of caution: I've heard on at least two hair forums that many donations to Locks of Love are either stored/destroyed or else sold commercially. Few make it into wigs for children. Please do more research before donating if your intent is to help someone with cancer. There may be a better way to help.
