Truth be told, the entire reason I started blogging was so that I could do a "Week in Feminine Dress" challenge. At the time, two bloggers, Mrs Catherine and Lindsey (both no longer blogging) were encouraging people to try it. So, I started a blog so that I could join in....and then, guess what? I chickened out. I never did it.
I have always been inspired by Mrs. Chancey's post here, and how lovely she looks in her modest, feminine attire.
Well, the challenge is upon me once again, but this time I am stepping up to the plate and joining in! Kristin has challenged her readers to wear a dress or skirt every day for 7 days, and also to fix your hair in a different way each of the 7 days.
So, here is Hannah and I on our first day in feminine dress, the picture quality is terrible, but you get the idea.
Why don't you join us?! Here's the icon, now go visit Kristin for all the details!

Beautiful outfit!
God bless!

Cute outfit my friend. :-D I won't be wearing a skirt everyday (and I don't think I KNOW 7 different things to do with my hair!), but thought I'd let you know that I actually picked up a couple of summer skirts at Old Navy this spring and have worn them instead of capris. It certainly makes me feel feminine...and Peter likes them too! :-D
Feminine dress challenge- What a wonderful idea. Keep up the good work for Him
Great picture!!!! I'm in the "just after baby" body stage and only have 1 skirt that fits me! Should I try to wear that skirt everyday? :P What a fun challenge!
Blessings!
Amy
Joy, you two look great!
Thanks for joining in on the fun.
If any of you are worried about not having enough skirts, I would suggest swinging by your nearest Goodwill or thrift shop! I picked up several skirts for $3.00 each or less! You don't need 7...just a few that you can mix and match.
I hope that you will all join Joy and I this week in dressing femininely modest! If you've missed a day or two, just jump in for the last five...I promise we won't hold it against you. ;)
Joy, you look fantastic!! Hannah is also looking so feminine and adorable. I, too am joining you guys with the challenge. Kristin and I did it a few months ago and I'm excited to do it again. I'll post my pics soon!!
PS: This is Kristin's older sis, Jessica
PPS: My husband has fallen in love with Dave's blog and read it faithfully. You guys are amazing!!
We're praying for you daily!!!
You look very feminine and Godly most of all. I have worn a skirt every day (a few exceptions) for 5 years now. I started out doing it becuase the people in the church I was saved at did, and now I do it because it is a deep conviction. My girls ages 2 and 4 are in dresses and skirts as well. It's a beautiful thing to look at females dressing as females and showing their submission and dedication to the Lord!!! I'm glad you joined the challenge!
This is a great challenge. I've been wearing skirts/dresses only full-time for the last two years and find them much more comfortable and better fitting then pants/jeans ever did. :-)
Good luck with the challenge. I look forward to seeing all the lovely outfits. (Unfortunately, I don't have a personal blog to participate and post pics.)
This sounds fun! Even though I already wear skirts all the time, I'm gonna do it too. I tend to get lax with throwing my hair up and walking out the door.
I can at least do my makeup and hair different each day.
Can't wait to start!
You both look lovely. I'm trying this challenge for the first time. I really don't know if I have seven different ways to wear my hair and some days I may have to wear dresses (like today) but I'm hoping they'll do.
Joy, please tell Hannah that she is a lovely girl. Thanks. :-)
You look so beautiful girl. So soft and pretty. Your little one looks so cute and feminine. How sweet!!
You both look very pretty!
I wish I could join you...but I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and am mostly in tee shirts, LOL!
Oh I love the outfits :) Especially that brown skirt! I have one just like that! :)
Joy,
You look beautiful! I love your feminine look! I bet you will find cotton skirts to be cooler where you live. I already wear skirts and dresses 90% of the time, and I only know one way to fix my hair, so this challenge won't be too hard for me! ;) Still, it is a good reminder of the value of dressing femininely and modestly!
I remember loving to read and reread those posts by Mrs. Cat! She was so inspiring! I was recently trying to find her blog because I loved her decluttering challenge, and was very sad to learn that she had taken down her blog. Do you know what happened? She had the most wonderful blog and I was very disappointed to discover that she was no longer blogging.
You are an inspiration to many!
Blessings,
Elizabeth
LOVELY and super feminine! It's so cold here...If I do the challenge I am going to have to wear tights...while running around after toddlers...I guess I should just take the plunge!
Thanks for the great challenge. My girls love to be in dresses and skirts. We will post our picture later when i have someone to take it.
Love that belt, Joy! Adds just a little extra zing! :) I love wearing skirts!
Blessings,
Shilo
Hey Joy, We did it. Come see.
You both look beautiful... of course you always do!
I am going to commit to this challenge. I don't know if I can post pictures everyday...
